The United Nations Funding for
Population Agency UNFPA invited heads of Statistical Offices worldwide for the
“Needs Assessment Conference on Census Analysis” in Bali Indonesia on November 23, 24 & 25,
2011. Worldwide, UNFPA works with partners to address the root causes of gender
violence and to offer locally appropriate solutions. UNFPA and its partners are
supporting women and girls in eradicating violence through diverse
initiatives

Aves presented the Topic: “Uncovering The Wealth of Census Data: A Step Towards
Breaking Inequalities and Vulnerabilities of Indigenous Population (IP) in the Philippines.
The IP’s are the vulnerable to inequality of opportunities of being educated.
Such data will serve as basis for the government planners in initiating plans
for the upliftment of the educational status of the Indigenous People
population in the Philippines.
