REGION 10 NSO PROVINCIAL OFFICERS
TRAINS ON 2010 SURVEY OF ESTABLISHMENTS ON ENERGY CONSUMPTION
A first ever 2010 survey of
energy consumption of establishments (SECE) that aims to provide specific data
in order to generate useful indicators to measure the levels and trends of
energy consumption by sector for the country.
In general, data to be collected
for the 2010 SECE include the quantity of fuels, other fossil and biomass fuels
purchased. Value by type of energy products purchased, inventories by fuel type
and the end-use of energy shall also be collected. Sectoral energy intensities
are to be derived and to be broadly classified in to industrial,
service/commercial, transport and agricultural.
The Department of Energy (DOE)
shall be the major data user of the survey results. Hence, consultation with
DOE and its attached agencies were undertaken in the determination of data
items to be collected and the indicators to be generated.
NSO Provincial Officers currently
undergo second level training on SECE at the processing room of NSO 10 and
field operations will begin this September and ends on December 2011.
