The 2011 Household Energy
Consumption survey (HECS), is a nationwide survey conducted by the National
Statistics Office in collaboration with the Department of Energy. This survey
aims to collect data on households’ utilization of fuels, supply system and the
pattern of energy use and other variables that maybe useful to assess the
current energy profiles of different households and communities in the country.
Enumeration begins on September
16 until October 8, 2011 including Saturdays, targeting 4 households per day.
The data collected from this
survey shall provide the DOE with updated and reliable bases for an effective
household energy strategy for the Philippines . Data collected in 2011
will update the results of the HECS conducted in 2004.
NSO 10 Provincial Statistics
Officers of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Msamis Oriental, Lanao Norte and Misamis Occidental currently undergo second
level training at the regional office.
